Why embroidery and not screen printing?

Embroidery is a great option to decorate the limited garments that screen printing can not. A great example of this would be hats. Granted there are ways to screen print hats, It doesn’t compare to the timelessness of the embroidery look. The finish is everlasting and professional. Since we are mainly a water based screen printing shop it makes printing on heavy polyester blended garments challenging and not ideal. This is where embroidery will play a roll! Items that have dual layers like jackets and athletic shorts are best decorated with needle and thread! Dress to empress and choose the best decorative method. Not too sure which is best? We’re happy to help!

What are the Embroidery Artwork Requirements?

In the print industry there are various types of artwork formats. Raster images are images that are made up of little pixels. These Will work for the web and for paper copy prints. Vector images is where the artwork is made up of lines. No matter how big you scale vector artwork it will never get distorted. This is perfect for screen printing giving you crisp clean lines! Embroidery requires a special file call a digitized file. Digitizing is the act of taking artwork and creating the stitch patterns that the embroidery machines can read then lay down onto the desired garment. There are many people out there that offer digitizing services for very low prices. We always say you get what you pay for. May not seem important but you can’t make a high quality meal with poor quality ingredients. For best results vector or high resolution images are a must! We offer a one time digitizing setup fee to our customers for a seamless process!

How does pricing work?

Starting at 24 pieces, we have many different price breaks. Just like anything the more you get the more the price per unit goes down. Each design is going to have a different stitch count. The more stitches a design has the more the price per unit will go up. We can determine how many stitches your design has once the artwork has been digitized.

What are the different types of embroidery?

With a constant evolving industry, There’s always cool hot new trends coming out. Patches are one of the many hot fads out there. We offer fully embroidered patches, Leather engraved patches, Woven patches, Name patches and more! 3D puff embroidery made its breakthrough in the industry over a decade ago. Stemming from street wear fashion, making its way to mainstream fashion eventually becoming a hot trend in corporate wear. This technique is where foam is laid down before the stitch giving the garment a 3 dimensional look. The best part is you don’t have to give the whole artwork a puff look. You can select certain parts you want to be raised! Stay decorated with high quality embroidery.
